What is your photography style?
Our wedding photography is organic, timeless, romantic, and whimsical. We turn the beauty of your wedding day into art that will forever evoke the emotions you felt in the moment. We fight off the ordinary and contrived, striving instead to capture soul, love, and excitement., With your guests, we catch the off-the-cuff comical and touching moments- we aim to capture all that is beautiful, unique, and honest. With our photographs we paint your unfolding love story, with all of its colors, idiosyncrasies, laughter, and romance.
Do you do posed family shots?
We value family images and understand that they are important and keepsakes for years to come. We work with our couples to determine what they want out of their wedding images.
Where are you based? Do you travel?
We are a Chicago-based husband and wife photographer team, available for travel worldwide. We love all the places our photography takes us, especially when it comes to destination weddings.
How many weddings do you book a year?
We work with a limited number of clients per year in order to provide clients with the utmost attention from start to finish.
How many photographers work at YazyJo?
Two- Yazy and John. Yazy is the principal photographer and present at every wedding. John is the second shooter and is present as well. In case of an unexpected emergency, we have a network of experienced colleagues to turn to.
When will I be able to see my photographs?
A password protected online gallery of proofs will be available four to six weeks after your wedding date for you, your family, and your friends to view. There is a secure shopping cart so that you can order prints online.
After I order, how long will it take to receive prints?
Please allow 3-5 weeks for print editing and delivery. I spent this time enhancing and perfecting every detail of each print to ensure that the final product is art of the highest quality.
Do you shoot a certain number of images?
While it is somewhat variable, we rarely provide less than 800 images. Typically we shoot many more than that! Your wedding day will be very well- documented and tailored to your own unique love story.
Do we get a CD or our images?
Yes. We select and edit the images that we consider professional in quality. They will be copied to a DVD or for personal use. It is delivered upon receiving your album (should your collection include an album). We do retain the copyright to the images and reserve the right to publish the photos for promotional purposes.
What kind of albums do you offer and how is it designed?
We offer custom-designed, hand crafted albums imported from Italy, with different cover options. You and your spouse’s timeline determines when you will receive the final book. Picture selections and book design are approved, and we work with you along the way to ensure that the final product is exactly what you have in mind. There is a two-week design period after final image approval. From the album order date, there is a six to eight week delivery time. If you don’t select your images within six months, we will select the images for your initial review.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are insured by a carrier that has been approved by Wedding & Portrait Photographers International.
What kind of camera do you use?
We use Nikon cameras and professional gear. We continually update our equipment so that it remains at the cutting edge of photographic technology.
How long have you been in the business?
We have been in the photography business for over 4 years.
What do I need to do to book you?
A booking fee of $1,000 is due with a signed contract to reserve your date. With the balance due 30 days prior to your wedding day.. We work with a limited number of clients per year, so it is best to contact us early to reserve a date.
What if I have to cancel my wedding?
All fees and monies paid are non-refundable as this date is held exclusively for your event.
If our wedding runs overtime, will you stay?
We do have an overtime rate and with your permission and approval we will continue shooting with the overtime rate in effect. You will be billed after your honeymoon.
What is the overall commission price of YazyJo Photography?
